12/27/2023 0 Comments Shadow warrior 2013 fire glitchStill, if you are not into looting aspect of the game, you can concentrate solely on the main story, which isn't that bad for a looter shooter. So either when playing solo or in coop, the game provides a lot of fun just by replaying maps and getting stronger and stronger, like any other looter shooter. And when you are done, then there's a New Game plus, challenges unlocking more weapon upgrades, bounties (providing XP and more upgrades), etc. focus on using assault rifles, or grenade launchers, or shotguns, or melee weapons, etc). Still, being essentially a looter shooter, there're ton of different weapon upgrades, and you can create various builds and playstyles by experimenting with modifications, character passive abilities, and weapon selection (i.e. However, on higher difficulties when enemies can easily one shot you, the game turns into a more classic shooter where you have to run and gun evading attacks against you. Unlike Borderlands, melee weapons are more prominent in SW2, and on easier difficulties you can totally rip and tear enemies with a chainsaw, katana or your fists. Sure, it has less weapon variety, less modifications, no character classes and only a handful of spells/active abilities, and also less enemy types, but it's still fun at least for one playthrough (took me 14hr on hard to complete the game 100%). Anyway, it feels like they didn't know whether they wanted to make a looter-shooter or an actual sequel to Shadow Warrior 1, so they did neither.ฤก4h 20m PlayedI would say Shadow Warrior 2 is like a Borderlands game, but with more realistic visuals, and in a Japanese setting. What's up with the load times by the way, I had it installed on an M.2 drive and it took 30 seconds to load into a level. Not just in combat, the character models and animations are extremely rough, the animations in particular look like they are PS3 era at best. Combined with a dirty camera lens (which I will never understand in any game) and other post-processing nonsense, this game can look quite ugly at times. The game also becomes a visual mess in fights, so many particle effects everywhere. Reload times are atrocious for many weapons though. The shooting is okay, but due to the loot stuff weapons can feel underpowered. The voice inside Lo Wang's head was just annoying, all she did was call him stupid and old, so funny. There are a few "unique" locations, but they are few and far between. There are 5 or so locations and you keep revisiting them, having to constantly look at the minimap to see where you need to go as these locations are sort of open. On that topic, the levels themselves feel like they were made with that in mind as well. It feels like a half-baked looter-shooter. The whole loot thing doesn't fit well, why not just make 8 good guns instead of 20 mediocre ones and don't even get me started on that nonsense of an upgrade system. The story is awful and constantly references the first game but characters seem completely different now.
